The Fifa Nature Reserve, designated in 2011, lies in the southern Jordan Valley at some of the country's lowest elevations. Its acacia woodland and scrub support a distinct bird community, with sunbirds, blackstarts, shrikes and wintering palearctic warblers in the warm lowlands.
It is one of the less-visited reserves, offering quiet and rewarding birding in winter. Travellers who hire car & driver in Jordan reach Fifa on the southern Dead Sea road, and full package tours to Jordan include it for dedicated birders.
